A bit about me…. Well, I’m originally from Sheffield, England, but I have a serious love for travelling which is awesome because that’s given me the chance to live in some spectacular places around the world. I’ve worked as a jeweler in the US, UK, and Australia before coming to Malaysia. I’ve also lived in the Philippines for a year and a half and seem to spend half my life in Bangkok (the land of gemstones!)
Obviously my passion in life is jewelry, but fun fact: I rarely wear it. When I’m not working hard at the bench, I’m generally at my local CrossFit Box or playing with the doggos, so jewelry is generally just worn on special occasions for me.

My love in life is design!
I’ve been working as a jewelry designer for over 5 years now, since graduating from Birmingham School of Jewelry in the UK where I first met Lucy 8 years ago! Before joining Lucy Walker Jewelry, I worked for one of Malaysia’s top jewelry houses, working on one-of-a-kind custom pieces for some incredibly rich customers – The gemstones we used were what dreams are made of!
When it comes to design, I really feel like both hand rendering using various mediums, and computer aided design have their places and I enjoy working with both. What’s most important for me isn’t what we use to design, but how to get inspired. For me, inspiration is everywhere from the obvious such as a beautiful flower, to sitting in a bar and admiring the beautiful long legs on a bar stool! It’s all about just learning to look, and that’s what I hope to share here with you guys.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me travelling, going for a run, cooking or playing with the dogs of course! They’re the real bosses of our studio!

I started with the academy on a two week free trial from something I saw on YouTube right after I decided I wanted to try metalsmithing. By the end I was signing up to be a full time member. The classes are extremely informative and while they do go through a specific project, all the tips, tricks and techniques in each class is truly invaluable. The best part in my opinion has to be the community. When you have a question, just ask and other members are right there to help with their own personal experience. Even after a little over a year of membership, I still have lots of classes to go through but I’ve learned so much! Highly recommend for anyone starting or trying to hone their skills.

She has a very down to earth, easy style of teaching,, she always shows you different ways to achieve the same results regardless of your tools, she is always adding new skills and projects and she is funny as hell, which keeps the learning fun. I also love that she repeatedly reminds you that there is no one way to do things or that her way is the “right “ way. Lucy also shows you what not to do and you can go back and rewatch as many times and whenever you want. For me that is important, as I suck at taking notes and I forget some of the fine details when I haven’t done a technique in a while. Can’t recommend the Metalsmith Academy enough!

Lucy Walker Jewelry PLT (“LWJ” and any reference to “we”, “us” or “our” shall mean LWJ) respects and is committed to the protection of your personal data and your privacy. This Personal Data Protection Notice (“Privacy Notice”) explains how LWJ collects and handles your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia and other applicable privacy laws we are to adhere to. 1.1 Type of personal data
Personal data means any information which relates to you or in respect of a third party and which was collected or provided to LWJ for any of the purposes stated in Section 2 below (“Purposes”).

LWJ collects your personal data whether directly from you or indirectly from third parties such as your third party representatives in connection with any submission, transaction, arrangements and/or enquiries made with LWJ including when you send us enquiries, register for an account on our website, purchase products or memberships from us, or join our online competitions and contests.
1.3 Obligatory personal data
All information requested for in the relevant forms and documents is obligatory to be provided by you unless stated otherwise.
Should you fail to provide the obligatory information, we may be unable to process your request and/or provide you with relevant services and products.
2. Purposes of collecting and further processing (including disclosing) your personal data
Your personal data is collected and further processed by LWJ as required or permitted by law and to give effect to your requested commercial transaction, including the following (Purposes):

(m) for LWJ’s internal records management; or

Classes of third parties
Your personal data may be disclosed or transferred to relevant third parties (within or outside of Malaysia) as required under law, pursuant to relevant contractual relationship (for example, our third party service providers) or for the Purposes (or directly related to Purposes).
Your personal data may be disclosed to the following classes of third parties:
Third parties appointed by us to provide services to us or on our behalf (such as banks or financial institutions, auditors, lawyers, company secretary, information technology (IT) system / software vendors, contractors, marketing consultants and other advisers);

4.1 Links to other sites
Content in any website run by LWJ (“LWJ Websites”) may include links to third party websites. LWJ is not responsible for the content on such linked third party websites and users should observe the separate privacy policies applicable to the respective third parties website.
4.2 Cookies
LWJ may collect information about your visits to the LWJ Websites without you actively submitting such information. Unidentifiable information may be collected using various technologies, such as cookies, and web beacons. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your computer’s hard disk by a website. Web beacons (also referred to as GIF files, pixels or Internet tags) help LWJ recognise a unique cookie on your browser.
